How Do I Donate to Donegal County Museum

Every object can tell a story. We continue to develop and expand our collections and are always interested to hear about any objects related to the history of County Donegal which you may be willing to donate.
All objects accepted into the collections are acquired in accordance with our Collections Policy. Donated objects become part of the Donegal County Museum collection. Not all objects accepted into the collections will be placed on display.
Contact the Museum at museum@donegalcoco.ie and let them know that you would like to donate an item. You can then either call into the Museum with your donation or a member of staff will make an appointment to visit you. Once the required forms have been completed the item will be formally acquired and accessioned into the Museum collection. The object will be available for researcher as required. It may go on display in our long-term exhibition or it may be used in any of our temporary exhibitions.
For our temporary exhibitions the Museum will accept items on loan for specific periods of time.
