Science Week 2025

06 Nov 2025

Donegal County Library welcomes you to Science Week 2025.

As a library service, it is our responsibility to expose, engage, and inspire future innovators and creators through our activities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

The theme for this year’s campaign is ‘Then. Today. Tomorrow’. This topic encourages children to explore how science and past research have shaped and improved the lives we live today. Children will also learn about new solutions to create a better world for tomorrow, from tackling poverty, injustice and damage to our planet through the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also known as Agenda 2030.

We hope our Science Week programme with themes of exploration and conservation, emotional wellbeing and climate justice, and the work that is being pursuearyd in aid of a brighter and fairer future will provide children with a greater understanding of our planet.
Finally, we thank you for joining us to celebrate Science Week 2025.

All primary schools in Donegal will receive an electronic copy of our brochure. Although, most events take place during school hours, they are open to home schools and the public.
