Makaton is a unique communication programme that is used for kids and adults with learning difficulties to help them communicate through symbols (pictures), signs (gestures). It’s used in daily life and though music also. Even Mr Tumble uses it!
We are delighted to have Eve who teaches Makaton to communicate through sign, song, and dance. Eve was born with Down Syndrome and began learning Makaton during the pandemic. Supported by the Foyle Down Syndrome Trust she became a qualified Makaton Tutor and now shares her skills with children and adults by hosting workshops.
