Poetry Workshop with Róisín Leggett Bohan

What makes a poem linger with us long after it’s read? How can we capture those lightnings of meaning within our own work? Róisín Leggett Bohan is a prize-winning poet from Cork, and co-editor of HOWL New Irish Writing.

In this workshop, she’ll lead participants in unwrapping great poems, identifying what moves us, and learning to translate those insights in a guided writing session.

Róisín is the author of the collection in our mouth we carry, a runner-up in the 2024 Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award; her work has appeared in Poetry Ireland Review, Banshee, Magma, Aesthetica and The Pomegranate London. She will use her experience to encourage growth and discovery among participants in a supportive workshop environment.

This workshop welcomes all levels.

Presented by Earagail Arts Festival & Regional Cultural Centre. Curated by Tom Roseingrave, with support from Brendan Mac Evilly, Emily Cooper & Dean Fee.
